January 2, 2025 – The World War II Home Front Museum is a featured partner in Explore Georgia’s 2025 “10 Best Things to do this Winter in Georgia” email.  The seasonal email was distributed to over 200,000 opt-in subscribers, connecting prospective visitors to a founding member of the Georgia WWII Heritage Trail.

Explore Georgia is the official tourism division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. It promotes travel and tourism throughout the state by highlighting attractions, events, activities, and destinations that showcase Georgia’s culture, history, natural beauty, and entertainment.  The organization supports local communities, businesses, and attractions by marketing Georgia as a premier travel destination through advertising campaigns, social media, travel guides, and partnerships.

“Tourism is incredibly important to Georgia’s economy and cultural identity” said Ed Coleman, Georgia WWII Heritage Trail Chair.  “Each year over 167 million visitors spend $39 billion in Georgia.  Thanks to Explore Georgia, visitors can learn about the state’s rich history and World War II legacy by visiting the World War II Home Front Museum and other Georgia WWII Heritage Trail partners.”
