The National Infantry Museum has been named the ‘Best Free Museum’ for the 7th consecutive year by USA Today’s “10 Best Readers’ Choice Award”. A founding partner of the Georgia WWII Heritage Trail, the museum showcases the history of the U.S. Army Infantry from the Revolutionary War to present day – featuring over 70,000 artifacts.
“It’s an opportunity to one – thank our volunteers, thank our soldiers and their families, and thank the community for all the great support,” said President and CEO of the National Infantry Museum Foundation, Brigadier General Retired Peter Jones. “It shows the commitment by the community to us, and it also shows our commitment as a bridge between Fort Moore and Columbus.”
The National Infantry Museum was one of 20 museums nominated by national travel experts with USA Today.
