ANDERSONVILLE, Ga (Dec 16, 2024) – In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, two of the nation’s most revered historic sites, Andersonville National Historic Site and Eisenhower National Historic Site have joined forces to produce a compelling six-part video series that delves into the history, heroism, and enduring legacy of one of World War II’s most pivotal battles.
The series, titled “Battle of the Bulge: 80 Years of Remembrance”, will premiere in December 2024 and will offer audiences a comprehensive exploration of the largest and bloodiest battle fought by American forces during World War II. Combining expert interviews, archival footage, and powerful storytelling, the series will highlight the leadership of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the resilience of American troops, and the experiences of those captured and held as prisoners of war.
The series will be available for free on the National Park Service’s official YouTube channel, with accompanying educational resources for classrooms and community programs. Below is a list of the videos so far posted on Andersonville National Historic Site Facebook page.
